Greetings,
I recently purchased a CEL-09607, Cellular Shield with SM5100B. I’m using a higher current (>2A) power supply to power the module as suggested in the comments section for the product. I inserted an AT&T 64Kb SIM card and setup the module for North American GSM, AT+SBAND=7. After booting up I get the following sequence:
+SIND: 1
+SIND: 10,“SM”,1,“FD”,1,“LD”,1,“MC”,1,“RC”,1,“ME”,1
+SIND: 8
+SIND: 3
+SIND: 4
AT+CSQ
+CSQ: 0,99
OK
AT+SSIMT
+SSIMT: 0,0
So the module boots up but does not connect to the cell network (SIND: 8) and is not receiving a good signal (CSQ:0,99). With the SIM card in my cell phone I get full bars indicating great signal strength. I’m using a quad-band antenna, CEL-00675. The product comments section mentions other users who have faced a similar problem. Some suggested resoldering or touching up the antenna cable connection to the module but my connection looks good.
So does anyone have any advice as to how to get the module to work ?
