Hi,
I have had the pleasure of using Altium 6.9 for a new PCB but am running into troubles submitting my gerbers to batchpcb.
I have tried everything suggested on these boards and other but to no avail!
Firstly, I tried with solid fill, 8mil minimum’s. This is what works for me with Eagle but with the altium gerbers, batchpcb returns a picture will many missing tracks.
Then I tried increasing my minimum to 10mil as suggest by a post on this board, but with no success.
I read this is a problem with -ve polygon fills or something?
So I converted all my fills to thatched with 0.1mm traces and .05mm spacing. The board came back ok with all the traces there, however the entire ground plane was orange (traces to small) and there were some purple bits (clearnance) which were not there when using solid fill.
After this I tried increasing the thatching to 8mil width, 4mil spacing (2:1 ratio as suggested on these forums).
This removed the orange ground plane because now the traces are 8mil but I still had clearance issues.
I tried a number of different track/spacing settings but have had no success back :\
Can someone who has had success with Altium please let me know which settings you used
Thanks!
Alec
