I am trying to record with a SparkFun Electret Microphone Breakout BOB-12758 using National Instruments boards. When I use a USB board (NI USB-6002), it works fine. When I use an internal board, (NI PCIe-6363, a board that connects to the motherboard in a PC), I get this giant sawtooth wave of about 120Hz. In both cases I’m using a single ended configuration, AUD pin to an Analog pin, GND to a Gnd pin and Vcc to the +5V pin. The PCIe-6363 is working fine because when I connect a signal generator it looks the way it should. Any idea what to do about this?
If it’s working on one of your DAQ’s and not the other, I’d suspect the non working DAQ is the issue.
Unfortunately I don’t know anything about the PCIe-6363, but I’d start looking at your connections to that and how you have it setup. Either something is wrong with your connections or how you have the card setup, or the card might be bad.
