I just came across this video posted on youtube show how easy it is for the NRF24L01 to get interfered with common house hold items such as wifi and cordless phones.
maybe SparkFun should look into the RF technology that Cypress has to offer.
i don’t know if this interests anyone but i think these guys just did it to mock the nRF24l01…

I don’t think that anyone on this forum has reported any problems like that with the SFE modules using the Nordic chips. The Cypress chips would obviously be better in some environments.

I have seen the exact same thing with the cypress mouse reference design.
But then the cypress mouse was the loser
If you use the nRF24L01+ together with a good protocol, (like the gazell protocol stack supplied with nRF24LE1 and nRF24LU1P development kits) you can beat Cypress in both power consumption and latency any time in a normal desktop environment.
My guess is that the mouse in the video is not using any frequency hopping/agility at all which would lead to trouble in the 2.4 GHz band.
