nRF24L01 latency

Hi,

I am thinking about creating a wireless controller for my camera flash (i.e camera takes picture and a flash gun somewhere else fires). I am looking at different RF modules and I think I am going to go for the nRF24L01 but I need to know about the latency for this module. My transceiver needs to be pretty fast. Hopefully <1ms !

Is this possible? if not what should I use?

The latency is Time Enhanced Shock-Burst™ cycle If you use Enhanced Shock-Burst™.

As long as you give the 24L01 time to get settled in active RX/TX mode (130 uS from startup), the packet will be transmitted very quickly, and should take far less than 1 ms.
