Odd addressable LED behavior.

I’ve run into an issue and I’m hoping I can get some help figuring it out. I ordered a meter from the following link:

And I’m trying to daisy chain them together with a strip from superlightingled from the following link:

https://www.superlightingled.com/sk6812 … -2383.html

They’re all sk6212s so this should be fine. I even noticed that the 5v and gnd were on opposite sides and payed attention to swapping the wires when joining them.

However, for some reason, they don’t seem to be playing well together. I keep getting visual glitches, or sometimes everything will run fin for a moment but then start flashing random lights or certain pixels will freeze on a certain color. Each strip seems to work fine on it’s own, only when I try to join them do they glitch out like this. I’m hoping the forum might be able to shed some light as to what’s happening.

Just for our own edification, I’ve tried a number for troubleshooting solutions, checking the code, making sure I have the correct number of pixels selected, running smaller samples, powering the strips and the Arduino separately. Everything yields the same result when trying to join them into one strip. Also, unfortunately, this project requires them to be a single strip, otherwise I’d have tried the obvious alternative by now.

Let me know what you think and I appreciate your input.
