Don’t let the name foul you, it has a lot of features, it is fast and highly configurable, and also compact.

Atmel, Renesas, ST, Arduino, Window, Linux, Microchip, NXP

a lot of example, on GCC, HEW, IAR KEIL, EMBlock (EmBitz), LPCXpresso. MPLABX, GNURX, Arduino.
