I’m planning to use this 434MHz transmitter https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10534 , and am wondering if this 2.4GHz PCB antenna https://www.sparkfun.com/products/18086 would work for this? Or, is there a more suitable one available at SparkFun (I looked, DNF)?
Thanks,
Bob
Nope, 2.4GHz and 434MHz are entirely different bands, and antenna for one won’t work on the other.
Digi-Key has some 433MHz antennas that might work for you. It’s 433 vs 434 but they are in the same band.

I have found these two types to give better performance and easier to use:
https://www.digikey.com/en/products/det … ETH/625468
https://www.digikey.com/en/products/det … ESM/413457
The patch antenna is ok, but it does have a very small connector that requires a similar connector on the mating end.
Forgot to mention: for the two I listed above you also get mounting information, antenna specs, and if you go to the TE side you even get antenna pattern information (if you are into that stuff).
Oh, thanks. I have been putting a shopping list together and added a few of both to try out.
