There are plenty of PCB layout services advertised on the web… anyone have good experiences with one in particular? I’m looking for a recommendation. Thanks!
I’ve not used Sparkfun’s batchpcb service., I don’t live in the USA so the turnaround times would be getting a bit up there for me (since it has to go .cn → .us before being sent here).
I’ve used Olimex to make two double sided through hole Eurocard (160x100mm) PCBs, and the boards were nice and worked.
I’ve also used PCB-CART for 10 4-layer boards (with 6/6 design rules). They were very good value and the boards are good quality, and the turn around time is pretty short. If you just want one board though, they would end up being fairly expensive.
I think the OP wants someone to design the PCB, rather than make it.

Yep, I’m looking for a recommendation for someone who can do the board artwork, not manufacture the PCBs (I’ve already got a place in mind for that). Thanks for the other info though…
Most people here design their own boards.
What sort of board is it?
Leon
Yeah, I usually do my own boards too. I’m just swamped at work right now, and we just lost our layout engineer. It’s a 6U VME card, 4 layer.
Do you have a specific program you prefer used to layout the board?

D’oh, of course. That’ll teach me to post when there’s too much blood in my caffiene system.
