I’m interested in making a simple PCI or PCIe card. Basically, what I’m wanting to do is use BatchPCB to fab a pcb for me that has a PCI or PCIe connection on it with my FPGA design.
But, I’m not sure that I can do this as there doesn’t seem to be any information about how to do this using BatchPCB. I’m sure I could contact a larger pcb board maker and have them do it for me. But, then that takes the DIY factor out and makes it much more expensive.
Any ideas about how to proceed with this would be most appreciated.

Just wondering what the limiting factors are with BatchPCB? They can route complicated shapes, so they should be able to make the board with the required slot.
Not sure about BatchPCP, but you can add gold (ENIG) finish to Seeed Studio’s $9.90 service for $16 extra. Sure, this isn’t very thick gold compared to proper gold fingers on PCI cards, but it should be OK for a hobby / prototype application where it’s only being plugged in a few times.

It also cannot hurt to email them and inquire about making pci cards.
I have been happy with their work so far in the few orders I have placed with them for pcbs.
