Play an MP3 on a 'door knock'

Hi there, I’m trying to play an audio file when someone knocks on the door, I thought the MP3 Trigger (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13720) might be a good solution but not sure if a touch sensor will work through the door or be able to trigger the audio file?

Any help would be appreciated (I’m very new to this and only just ordered the inventors kit)

That’s the perfect product - you might just need a vibration sensor https://www.sparkfun.com/products/18416
