Powered 3D Printed Wall Art

I was hoping that someone can help with what I am trying to do. I have a 6v worm drive dc motor that I would like to power a wall art 3D printed Nautilus gears. Any help would be appreciated. Links to items would be very helpful as well. I am new to posting here and not very sure of how to do this so… I am sorry for being so new to this. Thank you!

The motor model: TS-32GZ370-5300

Only requirements are:

  1. Run off lithium ion batteries and US outlet power.

  2. To be recharged by a standard US wall outlet. 12v?

I think I need the following to make this work

2 Lithium Ion10 Ah packs

1 charge controller

1 dc/dc converter

1 on/off switch.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

The electronics for this project are probably going to be the easy part (DC power supply w batteries). It’s the mechanics of getting the gears and brackets mounted and maintain alignment with the motor shaft that seems harder to implement than first apparent. I’d build the non-electronic portion of the piece that you can turn by hand before adding the complexity of the motor and batteries.

Thank you. I have all the 3D parts designed and printed. Also the design of the box to house the motor, batteries and electronics. I just need to find parts that are in stock and will work for this application. then I can add the mounting locations and wire it up. I am just new to IoT and can do some of the basics. Was hoping for a quick easy solution. We all know how that goes…

The wall art is located on Prusa printables site.
