Hello,
I am trying to get 3 TMP102 (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/11931) working with a Intel Galileo Gen2 and ma running into some weird behavior. Addresses 0x48 and 0x49 work just fine. Address 0x4a works as well as long as its the only one on the line. Once another one is added, that one stops working but 0x48 and/or 0x49 work.
Ill be honest and say I’m new and removing the solder from the bridge was a pain (really wish they didn’t ship with that…). 2 of the 3 actually act as if VCC is applied to ADD0, but I looked under a microscope and couldn’t find any solder connecting the jumper. Other weird things I have noticed while I try different things, if I unplug VCC from the galileo, I can still light a LED on my 3.3v rail (which is crazy…) and to add to this, I can actually still use address 0x48 and 0x49 when no power is applied top the 3.3v rail. This makes me think there is a short someplace and im getting power from the ground rail? Maybe from SDA or SCL?
Another thing, I was running on 5v for a while (didnt read…) so maybe this broke something?
This all makes me think maybe the Galileo isn’t doing something right but I don’t have another board to test against. Any suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Here is a share with some photos of the breadboard: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ … sp=sharing
There are 3 places to plug in.
red - 3.3v
black - ground
yellow - SDA
green - SCL
