problem with E406-A MODULE PLZ PLZ HELP

hello

i am using EM406-A module for my telemetry project.it was working fine till yesterday but due 2 some problem in my DC adapter some extra voltages were given through VCC :frowning:

now it is not working ,its led is still blink as i connect it in my circuit bt not as shiningly as it was and has become Dim and there is no information through the Tx pin :frowning:

is there any solution 2 my problem

PLZ PLZ help me

thnks

Use over-voltage protection to prevent it happening again.

thnks dear

yes i will definetly prevent this frm happening again bt i jst want 2 know that is it ok becoz i m not receiving anything through Tx but LED is on but is dim jst the same as it glows in its starts

or in other words does EM-406A has a built in voltage regulator

or how cn i cnfrm that my module is stilll ok

PLZ help me out

I hate to be the grammar nazi, but using proper grammar will be a good start to getting some answers to your problem.

ok guys if u r not getting it then simply the problem is

accidently i have given more voltages to my EM-406A gps module

know i am not getting anything from the TX pin but the LED still blinks but is very dim :frowning:

so if anyone can help me that my module is still ok or not

plzz

Get a new one!

is there no other option ???

:frowning: is there no built in voltage regulator in EM-406A ???

Such modules often have internal regulators, but some circuitry might be unregulated. I doubt if it can be repaired economically if you put too high a voltage into it.

How would we know? All we can tell you is what's in the datasheet or we can see on the PCB.

Even if there was a regulator, its probably buried under the metal casing and is a very fine pitch component, do you really think if it exists, you can replace it?
