Hi to the SparkFun guys,
I Just purchased a GM862-GPS that has an IMEI number: 357467030006134
going to

to check if this module will be able to be connected to the Telus network in Canada
The response was " Your device will not work on our Network"
I did the same with other modules which were photographed, and photos shown on your forumn, and product
list
The GE863-PRO^3 with IMEI: 357251010650834, will not work
The GE864-QUAD with IMEI: 354476020486241 , will not work
The GE865-QUAD with IMEI: 357938020009783, will not work
The GE862-GPS with IMEI: 358278000398776, will not work
The IEMI numbers entered, were recognized by the website, and appropriate Telit models were displayed.
It’s intersesting that two different GE862-GPS units have different IMEI Numbers
Do all modules have a unique IMEI number?

it would seem that this may not be a way to ensure that one can purchase a modem to be used on the Telus Network in Canada.
How is one able to buy someting that will work without actually buying it and finding out it will not work?
Maybe nothing works with Telus, except Modems sold by Telus…
The reason to use Telus is that Telus has a wider service area than Rogers
Any insight would be appreciated
Ben
