PulseIn stopped working

Hello,

I’ve been using the code from SparkFun for the RC controller antweight robot. It was all working great. Now when I turn on the arduino the motors permanently stay on or jitter back and fourth.

When running the code through serial monitor instead of showing numbers been 900-2000ms it’s up anywhere from 5000-12000ms Every now and again it will show the vairables that it should be.

Also when there is only a wire plugged in it shows a pulse of 5000. This never used to happen.

Does anyone know why this has started to happen?
