This is not a new product idea per se, but it is an idea for something we pay for and you ship.

I like the red SparkFun boxes, and they are great for storing stuff in, but if I want to label the top with some creative sharpie ™ action, I have to contend with a big-ass shipping label smack-dab in the middle.

:idea: Simple solution (barring gravity sensitive goods): put the label on the bottom. Promote packaging reuse, add value to your shipments, and give us fanboys yet another SFE logo clad goody to annoy our friends and family with.

Sure you can buy the boxes, but I have nice, red, SFE-branded boxes sent to me regularly. Putting the label on the bottom incurs no extra cost AFAIK, and promotes reuse, something very green, and very maker.

(Edit: not that the usefulness or humor of the link to colored mailers is lost on me)
