quad propeller test stand

A newbie, picking a redboard and using a brushless motor & controller for DJI phntm 2’s if a way for a first standard to test against.

This is on a x-frame using actuator style sliding rails with stages vertically for dead-lift testing to measure power curves on take-offs, and to calibrate it.

It looks easiest to bolt load-strain gauge sensors as legs to the x-frame on the sliders to hold the motor mount, they’re 90-deg so you get x-y from that and with all 4 for z, and also if there’s an imbalance with 4 off-axis.

I’m after axial changes for out-of-balance and to be used to automatically sand the prop to balance it as the end goal.

Advice & suggestions welcome thanks for ideas.
