Question about X-CTU and LQI (Xbee 24ZB)

I have question (Xbee 24ZB)

  1. range test on X-CTU

I can check RSSI by AT mode.

but I want to check RSSI by API mode between 2 module

but I can’t check , How to config parameter and format of data to test transmit ?

2.LQI

I test send LQI request frame and can get LQI response frame

but I don’t know format description of byte LQI response.

Is the last byte of LQI response before checksum is LQI value ?

Thanks you.

I recall that LQI (received signal strength) is retrieved only via the API mode packets.

Yes I know I have to use API mode but the question is which position of LQI response is LQI vale?

Thank you

In OEM manual. Section on receive API packet layout. See RSSI byte.

LQI is an 802.15.4 term “Link Quality Indicator”, 0-255, 255 = best signal. LQI per IEEE has no units.

Digi’s RSSI is in dBm, so, -90dBm is a weak signal and -30dBm is a strong signal.
