I noticed the schematics for various Qwiic sensors and breakout boards have either 4.7k or 2.2k ohm resistors. Why has #SparkFun not standardized these to 4.7k ohm (or even 10k ohm) across their Qwiic line?
Hi @MattAF ,
The honest answer is: “it depends”…
Over the years, we’ve found 2K2 works well on 3.3V I2C. 4K7 works well on 5V I2C. Sometimes the IC manufacturer recommends a different value…
I hope this helps,
Paul
