Qwiic PHAT with Raspberry PI i2c Configuration Issue

Hi all,

I recently purchased a Qwiic PHAT v2 for the Raspbery PI ( I am running 3 b+) along with a Green LED Qwiic button for prototyping button inputs for a project I am working on. The issue is that my Pi does not seem to recognize the Qwiic button when running i2cdetect. There are no entries listed in the address matrix. I also do not see the Qwiic button Power LED light up (marked PWR on the button) when the button is connected to the PHAT via a Qwiic Connect cable. The PHAT itself seems to work as the built-in GPIO button on the PHAT itself works (tested using a variation on the Python code tutorial for creating a shutdown button using the built in GPIO button on the PHAT).

My best guess at this point is that there is something wrong with the Qwiic button or the cable itself. The only other observation is that my PHAT came missing one of the Qwiic connectors (there are only three on the PHAT instead of 4).

Is there anything I can do to narrow down the problem further?

Thanks!

Carson

If nothing is lighting up on the qwiic button, inspect the cable for damage and if nothing is obvious; I’d suspect it is DoA

Was it purchased from us? If so head over to Returns (contact vendor if purchased elsewhere) and we’ll get ya squared away
