Qwiic RFID wrong readings after 20 reads

It seems I am not the only one who stumbles upon this issue, these postings are likely about the same problem:

the class Qwiic_Rfid does not have a member named ‘available’, ‘getTagTime’, or ‘removeTag’.

Ok, I could try to do that. It seems that having the chip store just one tag instead of 20 might solve my problem. Looking at the schematic, it seems that the SPI pins are broken out but not really accessible, unless you have or cobble up some sort of programming cable? (or solder jumper wires directly to the board). Something tells me that the board wasn’t designed with users uploading their own firmware in mind…
