radiaiton detection

Guess everyone had heard of wilfire in Chornobyl this April. Well, pretty much sure radioactive smog didn’t reach other countries, exept probably for Bylarus, but wanted to get an isotop identifier. I know Spectra is recommended by many (https://ecotestgroup.com/products/categ … ification/) but am looking for more devices to compare their features

I believe Geiger tubes are the most accurate compared to the silicon (solid state) options. However, they are expensive because you need unexposed metal, manufactured prior to 1945 (the first nuclear explosion). Additionally, the rarity is increasing due to a finite supply and demand due to the sensor performance decrease with exposure.
