radioShack < Parts Store Near Boulder < SFE ?

Since SFE is effectively my neighbor, i thought I’d put this question to them. Is there an electronics parts store in the Boulder / Longmont area that is a step above places like Radio Shack, but carries more mundane parts than SFE?

Sure, mail order and digikey would probably fit the bill, but I’m an impulse buyer as well… and waiting for someone to mail you your parts in the middle of a project sucks.

I think there is a place called BJ Sanders or something like that… is located at foothill and Valmont…

I of course don’t want to give the wrong impression about SFE with this question… anything i can find in their store, i’ll buy from them… there’s just some stuff i wouldn’t expect them to carry because their inventory is more specialized than most (read: freakin cool!)

I agree, waiting for parts through the mail is no fun.

The closest place to me that even comes close to anything I’d be interested in is Fry’s and its three hours away in Chicago (I’m in Bloomington, IL,) and Fry’s carries next to nothing.

Consider yourself lucky that you have somewhere you can go to make impulse buys.

Does anyone know of a good electronics supply house in St. Louis or anywhere in Illinois at all for that matter? My eyes are aching for a trip to a store with lots of parts.
