Earthscope is modernizing its real-time GNSS data streaming platform. This update includes a new NTRIP caster, improved data feeds, an upgraded authentication system, and a revised licensing model. The new platform will be more robust, performant, and include improved visualization tools for data feeds and quality monitoring.

What’s Changing:

All users must re-register to access the new system. Old usernames and passwords will no longer work. The new registration

The new NTRIP caster supports RTCM 3.3 and BINEX formats. RTCM 3.1 streams will be discontinued. The mountpoint names for RTCM 3.3 streams are {FCID}_RTCM3P3, not {FCID}_RTCM3.

The new caster hostname is ntrip.earthscope.org, replacing the legacy rtgpsout.earthscope.org.

Customer support has moved to data-help@earthscope.org. The address rtgps@earthscope.org will be deprecated.
Important Dates:

April 29, 2025 – The new service becomes fully available. New accounts must be created on the new system. Existing users may continue using the old service temporarily.

July 29, 2025 – The old service will be retired. All users must have transitioned to the new platform with updated credentials. The old server name, rtgpsout.earthscope.org, will be pointed to the new service, though the mountpoint names are different.
