Hi i just recently purchased the easy web 2 development board.
I wa just wondering what are the best suggested C compiler to use with the MSP430?
i know there are a few out there. Any recomendations would be appreciated.
Free would be nice!
There is a free mspgcc toolchain available (see http://www.mikrocontroller.net/msp430.en.htm ). I worked with it but the commercial IAR Embedded Workbench is much easier to start with. But on the other hand it is a very expensive software. But I think the kickstart set from Texas Instruments includes a limited version of the Embedded Workbench.
