Have you considered pairing a GPS with, say, a Nordic module on one end, and a Nordic sith a serial display on the other end (perhaps with a ucontroller to select the data setreams and presentation)?
Why?
Put the GPS and transceiver in a model car, boat, plane, etc. and get a current readout of your speeed and heading, say, from the VTG stream, or altitude as well (from one of the other streams). And have it all in your hand real-time.
Or a poor-man’s limited-range GPS tracker.
I know I would want one…
