This question is an arduino/wireless cross question.
To start, my parents live on a property in region QLD Australia. Living in sandy country they cannot make dams, those of regional backgrounds will understand, they rely on bores to water their cattle. As a consequence they have a series of bores on their property. They also have far too many hills and trees to make mobile (telstra for us) water monitoring possible. I have made a bit of a system based on arduninos and xbee XSC’s to monitor the water levels across the property for a fraction of the cost of commercial systems that do similar jobs. I have a hard-on for open source and would love to hear ideas how i can share what I’ve done with the community( and improve it). The system is a rails app with arduino remote monitoring stations. About to upload to Git, would love to know if anyone has any other ideas on how to spread the love…
