Request for Information Regarding LIDAR-Lite v3 Sensor Specifications

Hello

I am currently working with the LIDAR-Lite v3 sensor and would appreciate it if you could provide some additional technical details. Specifically, I would like to inquire about:

  • The material used for the lens (optical element) of the sensor,
  • Whether a general block diagram or electric schematic of the device is publicly available,
  • The specific type or model of the laser diode used in the sensor.

I fully understand if certain information is proprietary and cannot be shared, but any general details you are able to provide would be greatly appreciated and very helpful for my application.

Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.

Best regards,

I imagine those details are proprietary, but you could try asking the manufacturer, Garmin (Sparkfun is a reseller).

Perhaps you might direct your real questions about the device to Garmin as well.

By the way, the Lidar Lite was originally developed by the PulsedLight company in Bend, Oregon, which was acquired by Garmin. Federal patent applications (perhaps this one) would reveal the basic principles of operation.
