I’m in need of using a RF attenuator to control the signal strength of my Bluetooth dongle. Are there any attenuators that I can use for this purpose? Is this even possible without too much hacking?

PIN diodes are used as microwave attenuators. It’s going to be difficult to incorporate one, though.
