RGB LED pixel lights WS2801 / WS2811 other IC options

Does anyone know of strings of these lights with other diviner IC options? I think there was some with a TI driver around but I can not remember the P/N of the IC.

Diviner IC options ??

From your post you know of 2801 vs 2811; are you asking about other individual control “concepts” implemented in a string of LEDs ?

Adafruit sells some strings based on the LDP8803/8806 IC and there’s some Arduino libraries for it.

There’s also a TM1803 IC that I know nothing about. Looks like a W2811 clone ?

Adafruit also has some strips using the HL1606 IC

My fault. I meant driver!

I am just looking for other ICs that are beuing used to make the “Christmas lights” style individuality addressable LEDs strings.

So far its looks like these are the options divided into 1 wire or 2 wire categories:

  • One wire

    [TM1803 (5V 800Kbps)

    [WS2811 (5V 800Kbps)

    Two wire

    [LPD6803 (5V 15MHz)

    [WS2801 (5V 25MHz)

    [LPD8803 (5V 20MHz)

[LPD8806 (same as above with 6 chan)

    [HL1606 (w/ latch)

  • [/list]

I still can not find that TI chip that I stumbled across the other day… I guess its not used very much.](http://www.adafruit.com/datasheets/HL1606E.pdf)](https://solarbotics.com/download.php?file=1889)](https://solarbotics.com/download.php?file=1889)](http://www.sparkfun.com/datasheets/Components/LED/WS2801.pdf)](http://www.adafruit.com/datasheets/LPD6803.pdf)](http://www.adafruit.com/datasheets/WS2811.pdf)](深圳市天微电子股份有限公司-原厂)

Here’s a link that has a fairly good table in it.
