RN-171 - Roving Networks - true breakout board?

The Wifly with 20 pin Xbee header (part # RN-XV) which has RN-171 802.11b/g Serial Module - Roving Networks is great but it does not route all the sensor IO of the module out to the 20 pin header.

Is there a true breakout board for the RN-171 which exposes all module pins and hopefully has a DIP/breadboard spacing?

I did look at the Roving Networks product line but their breakouts do NOT have SMA antenna connector - they pretty much have everything else but SMA? For example their part # RN-174 is almost what I need except for the lack of SMA antenna connector. I actually saw those at ESC in San Jose this week and the people attending the booth were suggesting the obvious when it comes to antenna issues - get a pigtail…

Any suggestions will be appreciated, the project in mind is to use an RN-171 module as autonomous sensor node, not as a serial to Wi Fi gateway or anything like that. I need the RN to update values using its URL feature and POST sensor values to a database using simple php POST script.

Thanks

How about building it yourself? The PCB antenna from the datasheet works very well, I’ve tested it. It’ll save you some bucks too…

Thanks jlhonora, the trace antenna would not have been my first choice but hey if it works well that’s all that I care… Could you share more about your specific experience? How did you use that module with the trace antenna?

I’m specifically interested in exploring an autonomous application of these modules pushing data using their POST feature
