My Pro Micro RP2040 (DEV-17717) will not automatically reboot after loading a .uf2 bootloader.
I connected it to a Mac (running Big Sur) and it immediately shows up as a RPI-RP2 removable drive with 2 files and 2 folders. When I drag the .uf2 file onto the device the Mac shows the progress bar while the file is being copied but after that I receive the error message “Disk not ejected properly Eject RPi-RP2 before disconnecting or turning it off” and the removable drive disappears. The RP2040 will not boot.
After restarting there are no additional files on RPI-RP2
I get the same result tried the device with several different .uf2 files( C/C++ Blink and Hello World). I have also attached it to a Raspberry Pi 4 and get the same result.
What else can I try? Do I have a faulty device?
