RTK Postcard On Survey Rod

Has anyone taken their basic Postcard and Portability shield and affixed it to a survey rod? And if so, is that practical?

I just pulled my survey data locally and finessed it through QGIS to give me survey waypoints for my parcel of land.

While lining up on the first survey mark I noticed that about the best accuracy I was getting was around 2.1 cm. Wow! If I set the rover on the ground it would go into float (not ideal antenna situation I know) and my NTRIP correction comes from about 29 km away. If I held it in the air to get an RTK Fixed then I don’t really know the exact point under me.

I’m just playing learning and none of this matters but curious if I put this on a proper survey rod if it would be easier and give me even more accuracy?

Hi
Of course. I added a 5/8" nut to the bottom and mounted it on a professional polling pole.
It works great.
