SAMD51 Thing Plus Arduino IDE

Hi,

I’m new to programming. I can’t seem to figure out how to connect the Arduino IDE to the SAMD51 Thing Plus. I’m trying to get this to work on a Windows 11 computer. The first problem is nothing shows up in Device Manager when I connect the thing plus to my computer. It doesn’t seem like my computer is detecting the connected device. Second, I don’t see the Thing Plus in the option for Board in the Arduino IDE. I looked through the Boards Manager, but I don’t see the SamD51 Thing Plus listed anywhere. Any thoughts?

Have you followed the directions in the hookup guide for installing the board in arduino?

Has this information been updated for the Arduino IDE V2.0.0 release?

I’ve loaded the specified Sparkfun URL into the Additional Boards Manager field of the preferences in the V2.0.0 IDE. The boards manager shows various Sparkfun SAMD21 boards, but no SAMD51 boards.

I have the earlier Arduino IDE version working correctly with the SAMD51.
