schematic for JTAG - Parallel port adaptor @Leon

@ leon

from old forum posts i have found that u desined a JTAG - Parallel port adaptor for LPC 2000 board. could u give me the schematic? is it compatible with my new Olimex STM32-P103 board based on MCU STM32F103RBT6 ? thanx a lot…

It’s file jtag.zip in the Yahoo LPC2000 group’s Files section. You’ll have to join the group to download it:

It should work with any ARM board with the standard JTAG connector.

Leon

THANX LEON…FOR UR PROMPT HELP…

two more points please

  1. transistor used in ur ckt is not available in our locality (BCW32). is BC547 compatible?

  2. 51 ohms restors not available. 47 ohms will do? or 100 ohms ? which would be better ?

thANX AGAIN…

The BCW32 is an SMD. The BC547 should be OK, it isn’t critical.

47R should be OK. 51R is a standard 1% value.

Leon

thank u vry much leon…

another qstn…

in your JTAG adaptor schematic, pin no. 19 of 74HC244 is seen to be directly connected with VCC. IT is low active enebler for output active. connecting it to vcc will disable the output. no???

pl let me know

thanx…

I’m not using those outputs. The inputs are tied low, as well.

Leon

i see…

by the way sir… :?

what abot NTRST (PIN 3 of jtag connector)? will it be kept unconnected…?

It’s not used by most development software.

Leon

thanx leon…
