I have been getting errors on the site for the past several visits. Refreshing the page a few times eventually gets me a good page load. Happens on every page after login. I am running Firefox 3.6 and SparkFun seems to be the only secure site I have trouble with, I can load SparkFun ok on IE.

Is this a site problem or something on my end?

Hey wassabi,

It sounds like you have our old SSL cert cached. Try clearing your authenticated sessions via 'Tools->Clear recent history", → Details → Active logins

Hope that helps!

I followed your instructions and selected everything for the time range. Gives me the same error.

I also tried going to the certificate manager:authorities and deleting the two entries under “The Go Daddy Group, Inc”. Logged in, accepted the new certificate and marked it as trusted, yet still got the same error sec_error_input_len.

Hey wassabi,

Sorry you’re still having issues - could you provide a little bit more about your environment? Operating system, firefox build, etc? I’m trying to reproduce the problem without luck here on my end.

If you go to Help->About Firefox, you should see a FF build ID (i.e. Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100207 Namoroka/3.6)

Thanks again,

Ben

Sure thing

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 Firefox/3.6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)

Do you think a reinstall or downgrade of Firefox would help?

I managed to replicate your exact configuration and build-id, unfortunately I still can’t reproduce the problem. I suppose a reinstall may be in order. I think we’d have more reports showing up if this were an issue with our SSL cert, so I’m out of ideas :?

I will keep looking into it. I appreciate your time helping me troubleshoot this. Thanks.
