Recently (in the past few days or so) I have had difficulty previewing and posting responses. I receive a message box saying that a Server Error has occurred and that the admin might not have enabled CGI for the folder. If I wait and try submitting enough times, the post/preview goes through. It sounds like a server availability issue.
Me too, except that I tried resubmitting a couple of times and still couldn’t submit. I eventually gave up and figured the admins would fix it later. (This was over the weekend.) I wonder if this post will make it through?
Its actually one of our new server security measures. Please email me a copy of the text its triggering on. One of the attack detection rules might be a bit overzealous.

Wow, that’s really annoying.
I didn’t save a copy of the text. It was a longish but innocuous response to the ethernet-serial-ethernet question in the “Projects” forum.
Yeah, sorry about that :/.
I’ll check the logs for the last few days for entries regarding the forum.

I know one time I was just using the QUOTE and it didn’t like something about that. I’ll pay more attention the next time this happens.
Thanks.
Yes, I’ve had this happen too, but after a refresh, it submitted fine.
I’ll be sure to copy down whatever I was writing next time it happens.
I’m glad that you guys are taking more precautions and preventing spammers and such now, the forum is a lot better, back to the way it used to be.

I think I nailed the main rule that was causing issues. It was an overly excited SQL injection filter. Please let me know if you see any more unnecessary Internal Server Errors.

Hello!
I just got the “Internal Server Error” starting a new topic on the “Everything ARM and LPC” section.
I tried to submit several times, but I got the error each time.
I tried to send a Private Message to the Moderator of the forum, but same thing happened.
I have posted a couple of messages before, and I worked. This post reply was sent successfully. How can I start a new topic or send anything?
