SGP30 readings not changing, sensor not heating up (as it should).

Hi all,

I recently bought a sparkfun SGP30 sensor for measuring TVOC and eCO2. The documentation states that the sensor needs 15 seconds to warm-up (during which time, the sensor outputs 0ppb for TVOC and 400ppm for eCO2), and after that, the sensor can accurately measure both. However, I have left the sensor running for an hour now, and the values have not changed from their incorrect baselines. Here are some things I have tried:

  1. changing cables out and verifying the wiring is correct

  2. trying different example programs from different libraries

  3. different breadboards

  4. countless arduino resets

After all my efforts, I can’t get the readings to budge, and it’s especially troubling that the sensor doesn’t even heat up, as it is supposed to. I’m starting to suspect I may have received a defective model.
