I need a really simple solution (ready-built if possible), to buffer a set of 8 independent trigger signals to drive 8 separate outputs so as to duplicate the input signal and increase the drive capability to sink min 200mA load from 5 to 12V.
The input is an active-low trigger pulse, which, without inverting the logic sense, drives an active-low open-drain or open-collector output. The unit can be powered from a 5V DC PSU.
There are 8 separate channels so a couple of 4-channel boards would be fine.
The ULN2003A 7-ch Darlington driver looks OK but SparkFun boards seem to be out of stock. Anyone know of any manufacturer demo boards with this kind of ‘relay driver’ outputs?
Actually I’d prefer the lower output saturation voltage of a plain NPN or NFET output.
