Hi there
I’ve hooked up a SparkFun 6DoF IMU Breakout - ISM330 to my SparkFun Datalogger IoT board to read accelerometer data and store them into the SD card. The setup works good, but I can’t get a sampling rate above 3Hz no matter what sampling setting I choose in the terminal setup of the Datalogger IoT.
Can anybody help me out? I would need at least 50Hz sampling rate
Thanks!
Did you back out of the menus/save? Configuration - SparkFun DataLogger IoT Hookup Guide
It might help to disable other unneeded sensors as well to help free up the bus
Finally: I wonder if there might be a bug for that particular device (bc it is included on the 9dof version and not on the regular)…let me know if it ends up accepting any alternative Hz
You could try disconnecting the ism330, and instead changing a different component’s Hz to ensure things are being set/saved…then after confirming try going back to ISM330
Oh and also make sure you’re using a fast/newer SD card
Thanks for a swift reply TS-Russel.
Yes I backed out and saved correct
I did not have any other sensor on the bus
I don’t have any other sensor to try various Hz on. I see you’re an SparkFun employee, can you please ask around internally if this should work?
How can I see if I have a fast enough SD card? (it is a newly bought one)
Thanks!
Magnus
I’m guessing it is some error in the FW caused by the fact the 9dof has an on-board ism330 and the ism330 over i2c settings are in a different register (or something like that)
