SM5100 and internet connection

Hi,

Just some weird behaviour I have with the GSM module, when trying to establish an internet connection. All tests with calls and SMS work fine, but as soon as I try to get the internet working it fails right at the beginning.

  1. Is it normal for the module to have the settings for China stored? when I issue the command AT+CGDCONT? I get the following back:

+CGDCONT:2,IP,CMWAP,0.0.0.0,0,0

+CGDCONT:1,IP,CMNET,0.0.0.0,0,0

  1. I can’t set my own config… issuing AT+CGDCONT=1,”IP”,”yesinternet” for example gives me:

+CME ERROR: 4

same happens for APN “internet” (both are valid for the provider) or using a different PDP Context Identifier (3,5,whatever)

The SBAND is set correctly to 4… and I tried it now with multiple SIM cards as well

Any idea what I am missing or doing wrong?
