Small programming connector for SAM3N00B

Hello,

I am using the Atmel SAM3N00B microcontroller and the only way I can see to do in circuit serial programming is to use the 20 way JTAG connector.

However, this connector is too big for our production unit, and I wondered if there is a smaller, say 5 pin programming connector which I could use?

There is the SWD connector, which is tiny.

Thanks Leon,

do you mean the 10 pin connector on page 19 of this…

…i am not sure what the part number is for this connector.?

With the PIC range of uC’s , i am sure you will know what i mean, they just have a 5 pin header for programming…its very easy and simple…i am sure you would agree that the Atmel stuff seems more complicated?

The one on page 16. It’s the standard debug connector used with all ARM Cortex chips.
