SPARKFUN GPS-RTK BOARD - NEO-M8P-2 (QWIIC) and RTKNAVI

Hello,

I’m using a SPARKFUN GPS-RTK BOARD - NEO-M8P-2 (QWIIC) and RTKNAVI, as described in the GPS-RTK Hookup Guide - Connecting the GPS-RTK to a Correction Source (link below):

https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/gp … okup-guide

I have followed the exact instructions provided (see the picture I have attached), but when I press start to receive data, I see the lights flashing green on the top right corner. However, I can’t visualize my signal strength, so I can’t check if I’m receiving data or not.

Please note that the mountpoint I’m trying to connect to is around 30 km away (the closest).

Can you please help me with that?

Regards,

Have you tried clearing the “2101:2101” and replacing it with just “2101”?

Also share a photo of your wiring/setup, and maybe a screenshot of your Output settings

Thank you very much for the prompt reply.

I have attached images of the output and log settings. As you can see from the top right of the picture, the green lights indicate that I should be receiving data, but I still can’t visualize anything.

I tried replacing “2101:2101” with “2101,” but I still can’t see any data (although the green lights remain on).

I haven’t done any wiring or setup yet. I want to ensure this works before proceeding with the wiring. Currently, I have the SPARKFUN GPS-RTK BOARD, but I haven’t acquired the other components mentioned in the demo (https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/gp … okup-guide). I want to confirm this setup works before making additional purchases.

Even though you’re not seeing anything in the software, it might be functional. You might try connecting the GPS hardware and seeing if that works.

Additionally, you might try a different mount point, it’s possible the one you’re using isn’t functioning correctly.

Thanks very much for the reply.

I have tried different mount points, but the result is the same. The closest mount point is around 30 km away. Could this be the reason for not seeing the data, or does the distance only result in a worse final correction?

Marco

The software has no idea how far away the mountpoint is. I think the logical next step would be to connect the hardware according to the guide and see if things just work when you have a complete setup.
