SparkPNT has a new website

We are proud to announce that SparkPNT (a subsidiary of SparkFun) now has its own website! SparkFun will continue to carry SparkPNT products on our website, but we will be shifting the tech support out of this forum and into the shiny new SparkPNT support forum. We will leave all the amazing content here on SparkFun, but if you’re seeking help for a Torch, TX2, FP, SXM-E reference station, or the SXT GNSS disciplined oscillator, we will ask you to post your question over on SparkPNT. Additionally, if you’ve got a general GIS, surveying, or how to best set up a site survey with this type of equipment, those questions are best served on the SparkPNT forum.

For users of any of our breakout board or ‘bare’ PCB products (such as the ZED-F9P, Postcard, or Flex series), you are in the right place! Please feel free to post here.

Congrats on branching out!! Tons of hard work to make it happen. Kudos to you guys.

One small concern: I understand why SparkPNT is focused on turnkey products, but you still have a huge DIY GNSS community (and a natural upgrade path from DIY to SParkPNT too). Will your team be active in both community forums? Also keep supporting GNSS libraries like GitHub - sparkfun/SparkFun_u-blox_GNSS_v3: An Arduino library which allows you to communicate seamlessly with u-blox GNSS modules using the Configuration Interface · GitHub? Sure hope so.

Yes to both!

We still sell the bare modules and lower-end GNSS that use that library, it’ll be updated as needed

We’ll be active in both forums; it’s mostly to segregate the PNT stuff so fewer cases get lost in the shuffle and we can make more dedicated categories to organize things a bit more

Don’t worry Doug… v3 has just been updated for HPG 2.10 with Galileo HAS support. And we are about to add new functions and examples for the ZED-X20D Heading module. Business very much as usual!

Congratulations, however I can see that there is a difference in price while comparing sparkfun website and sparkpnt for the same product . Am I missing somthing ?

I checked the 4 that I saw on both (Facet FP, 2x Disciplined oscillators, TX2…the SXM-E Reference station isn’t on our regular site); everything was $0.05 difference max. What are you seeing that is differently priced?

I tried on Chrome and Brave, same difference

Once I used Firefox then I got it right.

it seems that chromium based browsers have an issue somewhere, it makes no sence.

What’s even more strange is I’m on Brave too and it was fine :-/
Just checked Edge and it’s $2100 too. My only guess is there’s something funky going on with the cache…

Im not seeing the difference in price either. Wondering if for you one tab might be in a different currency? Like the higher priced tab is Australian dollars and not US dollars?
$2100 US is about $2930 AUS.

I see a $50 difference for Non-Tilt models, Chrome.
Same price across both sites for Tilt ($2100)

My guess is that the SparkPNT website is trying to convert the price from US Dollars into your local currency? Or maybe there are taxes being applied?

Based on Thursday’s exchange rate of 1.3632 USD to GBP, $2100 would be £1540.

I’m from Canada and I think it’s the same case as yours in UK.

Maybe the website should write CAD currency instead of $ only deoending on the IP address.
