STLINK JTAG Daisy Chain

Hi,

I have connected 4x stm32 in a jtag daisy chain configuration on a PCB, and I would like to confirm that I can communicate with all 4 devices through the JTAG.

I am currently using the stlink, but I could use another tool if its easier.

Also, if there is another software tool I could use, i would be open to that, too.

I love openocd and stlink because it almost free, so I’d like to stick with that if I can.

I am new to openocd server. I have managed to make it run and connect to it via a telnet client.

But now I am looking for advice regarding the configurations of the *.cfg files.

I have yet to find an example that explains clearly how to generate the files.

Thanks a lot in advance,

Regards,

Hi,

Did you manage to get anywhere with this?

I am using an olimex ARM-USB-TINY, attempting to talk to just two STM32 devices. Using a scan_chain command I can see that I have two devices on my JTAG, BUT I am unsure how to identify them separately as their ID is identical.
