I was wondering if anyone has the availablity to help me figure out if I am bitting off more than I can chew. Or maybe someone willing to embark on a daunting task. I can pay but only have a student budget maybe a little more.
I was wondering if I can use the (IMU 6 Degrees of Freedom - v2 with Bluetooth/ADXRS401) to control a 3D modeling program. (Cinemia 4D/ Alias / Maya)
I have a laptop with built in Bluetooth and RF capabilities.
Do you know if anyone has attemped a similar feat?
Is it close to a plug and play interface?
The scope of the project is something I call gestural sculpting. The user would be able to build a model in 3d space using the IMU to track its movements. The end quality can be choppy (preferabily not) but mainly I need to prove that the concept works.
