Suggested resistors for RGB LED?

Hey,

I got my sparkfun order yesterday and I have been playing with the RGB LEDs all night long and they are cool and pretty ^^ (And they distracted me from doing my calculus homework :P)

I noticed that the Red color was far brighter than the B or G colors and they could not be seen when R is turned on. I realized that my resistor for R is too low and I increased it from 100ohm to 470ohm. I then placed a 100ohm resistor on B and G.

I am running it all on 6v (Because the LEDs are very dim on 3V:

Red - 8.85mA

Blue - 26.75mA

Green - 27.04mA

What are good resistor values? I noticed that Red & Green don’t make a very strong yellow possibly because red is soo low. Yet with 9mA, red is pretty bright.

Sadly, I don’t have any resistors lower than 100mA and I actually don’t have many resistors ><’ And I am scared to really experiment because I blew one of the Red LEDs that I got yesterday already :frowning:

Um, nevermind… I switched some of the resistors and voltages around and its more or less equal brightness now… Feel free to reply still

This doesn’t cost very much…
