SUP500F 10Hz (GPS-09758) Wiring

I am a newbie and and want to connect the SUP500F to my laptop with a serial port. Rather than state what I think it should be I am asking how to wire a serial port connection to this unit.

Hi,

If you want to use your serial port then this should work for you. I don’t own one, but it looks like it will work. Looks like you will have to supply the power.

You can also use this. It makes a USB virtual serial port and you can also use it for power.

I know this works, but I also use a level shifter to convert the ftdi 5v tx to the Gps Rx (For configuration).

For me I didn’t use the ‘step up’ side. The ftdi reads the gps 3.3v with no probs for me.
