TELIT GM862 NOT REGISTERING IN GSM NETWORK

Dear aall:

I have just received a Telit GM862 - QUAD module with the Uber Board v.2 and it responds OK to the AT commands.

However it does not register in the GSM network.

I live in Argentina and band used by GSM operator is 1900MHz.

I am using an activated SIM card.

Please any suggestion is welcome.

PD:I’ve tryed the AT#autobnd command but it returns valid options only (0,1).

Check your signal level (AT+CSQ?). If you don’t have a good signal you won’t connect. If the signal level is OK, check the registration state (AT+CREG?). This will tell you if the radio is searching for a cell, or if registration has been denied.

I have now the GM-862 module working fine.

I would like to know if there are some commands that allows the modem to notify to the rs-232 interface the arriving of an SMS from the network without need of extra software/hardware to poll the AT commands?

I need the module to notify directly to the RS-232 port the arrival of new SMS automaticaly. How do I set the modem to do that?

Look at the “AT+CNMI” command. This allows you to set various options for the radio send you unsolicitied commands (AT+CMTI) when messages are received.

Hello I have the same problem you asked first. How did you fix it?

I seek in the CREG and all it says is 0.3 and 0.2. Making a Network survey this returns that all my networks are Forbidden.

Should we send another command? Please help me.

Dears,

I have bought a telit GM862 module with easy GSM/GPRS Board, and I connected everything, but when I turn the power ON, the status LED keeps blinking for 7 times then turn off and the module still turned off, although I made sure of the power supply that its 3A current and 3.8v,I dunno what to do to more to turn it ON??
